Monthly Community Balcony Contest – Starting February

The Floridian Arms is excited to announce our Community Balcony Contest, beginning February.

This initiative is designed to encourage residents to take pride in their balconies while helping maintain the overall appearance, safety, and value of our building.


🏆 Contest Details

  • Start Date: February (official judging period will be announced)
  • Who Can Participate: All residents with balconies
  • Judging Criteria:
    • Cleanliness
    • Appearance & organization
    • Compliance with building rules and bylaws
    • Overall presentation

🎁 Prizes & Enforcement

  • Best Balcony:
    🏅 Receives a $100 gift card
  • Worst Balcony (Bylaw Violations):
    ⚠️ May receive a $100 fine, in accordance with existing building bylaws, only if violations are identified

This is not intended to be punitive — the goal is improvement, compliance, and community pride.


👥 Committee Volunteers Needed

To ensure fairness and transparency, we are requesting volunteers to serve on a Balcony Contest Committee.

Committee responsibilities may include:

  • Reviewing balconies during the judging period
  • Identifying bylaw violations (if any)
  • Helping select the winning balcony
  • Ensuring consistent and fair application of rules

If you are interested in volunteering, please submit your interest through the Resident Portal or contact management.


ℹ️ Important Notes

  • No personal items will be touched or removed by the committee.
  • All enforcement actions, if necessary, will follow existing bylaws.
  • Residents will be given notice before any enforcement action is taken.
  • The contest is meant to be fun, community-driven, and constructive.
